Ray W. Ellis has served as a pastor, church planter and conference
superintendent for 30 years. He assumed the position of director of evangelism
and church growth for the Free Methodist Church of North America in 1988.
He has led training seminars for denominational church consultants, conferences,
and local church consultations for churches of all sizes in the United States.
He is currently senior pastor of the Willow Vale Community Church in San
Jose, California. He has served as president of the American Society for
Church Growth from 1999 to 2000.
He earned the M.Div. and D.Min. degrees from Asbury Theological Seminary,
Wilmore, Kentucky, and has completed post-graduate training with Fuller Institute
of Evangelism in Pasadena.
