Dr. Cox is currently the Assistant Professor of Evangelism and Church Growth at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. Prior to teaching at seminary, Dr. Cox was served thirteen years in the pastorate as Senior Pastor at Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Shephedsville, Kentucky and at Southside Baptist in Athens, Alabama. He has also served on the State Board of Missions: Alabama State Convention from 1987 to 1993.
Dr. Cox's published work includes "Church Discipline in Growing Churches" in Global Church Growth and "Evangelism and the Mass Media" in Evangelism in the 21st Century.
